Safe Handling Instructions
Unless otherwise noted in the Cooking Instructions section, all Capital Meats products should be thawed in the refrigerator. It should take only 4-8 hours for most of our products. Steaks may take
as long as 24 hours depending on the thickness of the cut.
You may choose to use the microwave to thaw your meat as well. However, use of the microwave
or the process of soaking them in water may affect the rich flavors and tenderness of the meat.
Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is
mishandled or cooked improperly.
For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions.
Keep refrigerated or frozen.
Thaw in refrigerator or microwave.
Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods.
Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching
raw meat or poultry.
Cook thoroughly.
Keep hot foods hot.
Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
